The price of a 20kg sack of flour has risen from Rs 2800 to Rs 3000 in the federal capital as grain mills have increased the price by Rs 1000 per 20kg sack of flour.
Mill owners also hiked the price by 1000 rupees last Friday. The mill owners believed that increasing wheat prices in the market justified the increase in the price of flour.
“If the government gave us subsidies for wheat, the masses would be relieved,” mill owners were quoted as saying.
